CCTV installation in Omagh, in short
Omagh jobs range from compact new-build estates near Lisanelly to working farms in the Sperrin foothills, all fitted with Hikvision, Dahua or Uniview cameras carrying night vision and motion detection. The survey is booked ahead of time, and app-based remote viewing is set up before we drive home.
Local knowledge
A county town between new estates and open hills.
Omagh sits where the Drumragh and Camowen rivers meet to form the River Strule, and the county town has grown with new housing around the Lisanelly Shared Education Campus and estates on the edges of town, where plots are laid out close together with short run-ins from the road to the front door. These newer homes usually have a compact frontage, so a couple of well-placed cameras cover the driveway and entrance without needing to reach far.
Head out from the town and Omagh is quickly rural again, with the Sperrin Mountains rising to the north and farms and smallholdings spread along the roads towards Drumquin, Gortin and Fintona. Jobs out here are usually about covering a yard, a shed line and a long entrance lane rather than a front door, and cabling has to reach further, since a router in the farmhouse rarely covers a shed at the far end of the yard.
- New-build homes near Lisanelly suit a compact camera setup on the frontage and driveway
- Farms towards Gortin and the Sperrin foothills need the yard and the shed line covered as well as the house
- Units on the Great Northern retail and business park suit wide-angle cameras on the car park and yard
- Town centre premises near the river suit a doorway camera set up with clear signage
A word on the distance
Omagh is a fair drive from our base, and we say so.
Getting to Omagh from our Castlewellan base is around 75 road miles, mostly along the A5, so we do not offer the same same-day response we can manage closer to home. What we do offer is a properly booked visit, with the survey date agreed in advance and the right kit brought along on the day.
That planning does not shortcut anything once we are on site. A booked visit still covers the full survey, installation, testing and handover in one go, run the same way as any job nearer our base.
How it works in Omagh
The process for an Omagh installation
- 1
Speak to us and set a date
Call the office or send the enquiry form and we will lock in a survey date for Omagh that works around the A5 journey, rather than an open-ended promise.
- 2
Survey and written quote
We assess the property, whether a new-build estate home or a farm towards the Sperrins, then put a fixed, written price together covering the kit and the work involved.
- 3
One trip covers the whole job
Mounting, cabling and configuration all happen on the single visit, following the plan agreed at the survey rather than being split across separate calls.
- 4
Proven before we drive home
We test the recorder, the motion zones and night vision on site and link the app to your phone, so the system is proven before we leave Omagh.
- 5
Aftercare booked, not assumed
A later service visit or extra cameras are arranged with a fixed date in the same way as the original survey, rather than a same-day expectation.
How Omagh properties are usually set up
The camera setup that fits each property
The survey settles the specifics, but this is the pattern we see most around Omagh.
| Property | Usual camera setup | Why |
|---|---|---|
| New-build home near Lisanelly or the town edge | 2 to 3 cameras covering the frontage and driveway | Short run-ins mean close coverage from a compact setup |
| Farm or smallholding towards the Sperrins | A camera on each shed plus one covering the lane in | Sheds and a long approach need more than just the house watched |
| Unit on the Great Northern retail or business park | Wide-angle cameras on the car park and yard | Covers customer traffic and deliveries in one system |
| Shop or premises near the town centre rivers | A single camera over the entrance, signed for customers | Business premises need signage and a clear retention policy under data law |
