What we install, in short

Coast Data Security installs six things: CCTV, electric gates, intruder alarms, access control, WiFi networks and construction site security. Each is fitted by fully qualified, insured installers from a free site survey through to handover, and several can share one app and one system across a single property or site.

What each service does

Six services, one point of contact.

CCTV installation covers 4K HD and IP cameras from Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview, with night vision, remote app viewing and intelligent motion detection for homes, businesses and farms. Electric gate installation automates sliding and swing gates with CAME and BFT motors, opened by fob, keypad, intercom or phone. Intruder alarms from Pyronix and Texecom cover wired and wireless systems, app-connected, for homes and commercial premises.

Access control uses Paxton hardware for door entry, fobs, keypads and intercoms across offices, apartment blocks, schools and industrial units. WiFi installation covers a site survey and an enterprise-grade network with full coverage for homes and businesses. Construction site security is rapidly deployable, with CCTV towers, solar-powered options and temporary alarms for compounds and building sites.

One system, one app

How the services combine on site.

Most jobs are not one service in isolation. A gate intercom, a camera covering the entrance and a door entry system on the office can all be tied into the same app, so you are not logging into three different pieces of software to see who came and went. A construction site is often CCTV towers plus a temporary alarm, run as one package rather than two separate contracts.

Because the same installers handle CCTV, gates, alarms, access control, WiFi and site security, a system installed for one purpose can usually be extended later. A WiFi network fitted for the office can carry the CCTV feed, and an alarm fitted this year can gain access control fobs next year without a second company starting from scratch.

How a job runs

From your first call to a working system

  1. 1

    Tell us what you need

Call or fill in the form with the service or services you are considering and the type of property or site. We will talk it through honestly before booking anything.

  2. 2

    Free site survey

An installer visits to look at the building or site, check power, access and any existing equipment, and work out what will actually suit the space.

  3. 3

    Written, itemised quote

You receive a clear quote broken down by service, with no obligation to proceed and no pressure to bundle in anything you have not asked for.

  4. 4

    Installation and configuration

Qualified installers fit the hardware, wire or pair it correctly, and set up the app, fobs or keypad so the system works the way you described at the survey.

  5. 5

    Handover and ongoing support

We walk through every control with you, leave the paperwork, and remain available for servicing, additions or a second service added later on.

Service questions, answered.

What people ask before they pick a service.

Which service do I need?

It depends on what you are trying to solve. CCTV covers watching and recording, alarms cover detecting an intrusion, access control and gates cover who gets in, and WiFi covers connectivity for all of the above. Call and describe the problem, we will point you at the right page.

Can I combine CCTV, gates and an alarm into one system?

Yes, in most cases. Because we install all of them ourselves, a gate intercom, an entrance camera and a door entry system can usually share one app and one login, rather than running as separate systems from different suppliers.

What brands do you install?

CCTV from Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview; intruder alarms from Pyronix and Texecom; access control from Paxton; electric gate automation from CAME and BFT. WiFi and construction site security are fitted to the manufacturer that suits the site rather than one fixed brand.

Do you cover farms and rural properties as well as houses and businesses?

Yes. Farms, rural houses, commercial premises, offices, apartment blocks and construction sites are all regular jobs. A rural property with no mains power is a different survey to a city centre office, but both are covered.

How much will it cost?

Every quote follows a free, no-obligation site survey, because the cost depends on the property, the equipment and how many services you want combined. You get a written, itemised price with nothing hidden.

Are your installers qualified and insured?

Yes. All Coast Data Security installers are fully qualified and carry comprehensive public liability insurance, whichever of the six services, or combination of them, you book.

Do you do construction site security for a short-term project?

Yes. Construction site security is rapidly deployable, with CCTV towers, solar-powered options where there is no power on site, and temporary alarms, suited to a project that runs for weeks or months rather than a permanent installation.

Can you add WiFi to a site that already has our CCTV?

Often, yes. A WiFi installation can be planned to carry an existing CCTV feed as well as general use, and a site survey will tell you whether the current network needs replacing or simply extending.

What if another company installed our current system?

We can usually service, repair, upgrade or extend an existing CCTV, alarm, gate or access control system rather than insist on starting again. The site survey tells you honestly what is worth keeping and what is not.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across Northern Ireland from our base in our Castlewellan base, County Down, with Belfast, Newry, Lisburn, Armagh, Bangor and Newtownards among our regular towns. See the areas we cover page for the full list and local detail.
