WiFi installation is a surveyed, professionally fitted wireless network, not a single router taken out of a box. Coast Data Security surveys the building or site, works out where signal drops off, and installs enterprise-grade access points, cabling and switches so every room, outbuilding or work area gets a reliable, secure connection.

A single router in a hallway cupboard is rarely enough to cover a whole house, and it is never enough for a hotel, a warehouse or a farm with an outbuilding across the yard. Thick stone walls, steel cladding, long distances and multiple floors all weaken a wireless signal in different ways, so we survey the building first, mapping where coverage is weak before deciding how many access points are needed and where they should go.
For homes and small offices that means a small number of access points working together as one network, so a phone or laptop moves between them without dropping the connection. For hotels, warehouses and larger commercial sites, we design a structured network with access points on a wired backbone, switches sized for the number of devices, and separate networks for staff, guests and any tills or security systems that need their own traffic kept apart.

Domestic mesh kits sold in shops are built for occasional home use, not for a business running tills, CCTV, phones and staff devices on the same connection all day. Enterprise-grade access points are built to stay online continuously, handle far more connected devices at once, and support current wireless standards including Wi-Fi 6, which gives more capacity in busy areas such as a reception, a shop floor or a packed farmyard during lambing.
Security matters as much as coverage. We set guest networks up separately from the network your tills, cameras or office systems use, so a visitor's phone cannot see other devices on site, and we configure proper passwords and access rules rather than leaving equipment on factory defaults. Where a site already has CCTV or access control installed by us, the network is designed with that traffic in mind from the start.

How much does WiFi installation cost?
Pricing follows the layout of the site: how big the building is, how many access points it needs, and whether cabling or switches have to go in. A written figure follows the free survey, with no obligation to proceed.
How long does installation take?
A home network usually goes in within a day. Sites needing cabling, several access points or coverage stretched to an outbuilding take longer, and the survey gives a realistic sense of the programme before anything is booked.
Are your installers qualified and insured?
Yes, every job is carried out by a fully qualified engineer, and comprehensive public liability insurance covers the network we design and fit. We go round the building first rather than sizing a network from a floor plan sent by email.
Which areas do you cover for WiFi installation?

I already have WiFi but it drops out upstairs. Can you fix that?
Usually, yes. A survey shows exactly where signal weakens, whether that is a distant bedroom, a converted attic or a thick internal wall, and we add access points positioned to close the gap rather than just supplying a stronger router.
Why not just buy a mesh kit from a shop?
You can, and it works for many homes. Where a site has many devices, needs guest and staff networks kept apart, or has to run continuously for a business, enterprise-grade equipment and a proper survey give a more reliable result than a consumer kit.
Can you cover an outbuilding, yard or separate barn?
Yes. Where running cable is impractical, we can bridge a separate building or yard with an outdoor point-to-point link, or extend coverage with an outdoor-rated access point where the distance allows.
Can visitors use a separate network from our staff or tills?
Yes. We set up guest networks separately from the network used by staff devices, tills, CCTV or access control, so a visitor's phone cannot see other equipment on site.
Will the network cope with lots of devices at once?
Enterprise-grade access points are built to handle far more connected devices at the same time than a household router, and we size the network at the survey for how busy the site actually gets.
Does the WiFi installation work with my CCTV or access control?
Yes. Where we also install CCTV or access control, the network is designed with that traffic in mind, so cameras and door readers get a reliable connection alongside everyday WiFi use.
What happens if I move house or extend the building?
Access points can usually be relocated or added to without starting again. We stay available to re-survey and adjust the network if you extend, renovate or change how a space is used.
Do you offer support after installation?
The network is checked and handed over, but we remain reachable afterwards for password changes, a new access point or troubleshooting a dead spot that appears later. Use the number that booked the original survey.
